Currently, Suppression is factored in to the combat resolution - it is represented by a 'percentage' rating.
In general, a unit 50% suppressed will fire back with 50% strength. When a unit reaches 100% suppression, it will attempt to retreat.
Suppression itself has minimal effect on travel speed at the moment, though related factors (such as morale and efficiency) do affect travel speed and other elements, such as weapon reload time and resupply rate.
Artillery and strategic (carpet) bombing are obviously the best at causing units to get suppressed; heavy direct fire will also cause suppression but at a reduced rate.

Is 100% supression the only thing that will cause a unit to retreat ?
Whats happens when the game rules tell a unit to retreat ,but the unit has nowhere to go ?
Does a zero strength unit do zero damage to those it attacks ?
Does normal combat/attacks also cause suppression ?Or just area like attacks, like artillery ?
