Will the aircraft on them be just part of their strength rating ?

If the aircraft are treated as indiviual units per aircraft type, how many types will be allowed to be carried?

Will carriers be able to deploy the aircraft units on them in CAPs and other patrols/missions ?

Aircraft will be separate units from the aircraft carrier. That much has been decided. Support vehicles will not be separate. The example would be destroyers that support one or two helicopters will receive a strength rating bonus for those vehicles. The intent with aircraft carriers is to treat them as airports and units at the same time. This means a unit stationed on an aircraft carrier would have the same options that a unit at an airport would. We also indicate on a unit by unit basis whether or not the unit can land on carriers.

The 'Escort' Command for an aircraft based on a carrier would create a Combat Air Patrol type of mission (the aircraft would escort the carrier, in effect taking off, patroling and landing). Other missions will also be available using either the 'Patrol' command or specific attack commands.
