Yes, the forum was infected with a relatively low-threat redirector worm of some sort - it has been removed now.
I imagine only older versions of IE would be affected, though I'm not entirely sure of all the details. I am also not sure of exactly how the forum software was infected, but I guess it's time to take a close look for possible security issues.

Yes, i know, i should be using firefox.I had it on this machine before the last reformat.
For some reason,i havnt gotten around to putting it back yet.It just doesnt feel "convenient " i guess.
IE is up to date on my main machine though,but not the #2 backup.
