Beta testing priorities

Hello Beta testers!

Thanks for your interest in our project and your assistance with development. Since our game contains so much content, we'd like to offer some direction on things that need testing. For the following topics, we will be creating threads to talk about testing each of them. If you think there are other areas of interest, let us know, we're happy to look at any part of the game. We'll try and keep up on the threads and link them back here.
So I'll be starting threads for each of these in the coming weeks.

We're trying to push a new update today. Status of the beta;
  • Lots of placeholder graphics
  • Economy Balance is off
  • World leaders not updated
  • Campaigns have events, but work in progress
  • Most "Tall" versions of UI panels have incomplete layout
  • Buttons for tall/small and minimize don't have tooltips, done in different styles in different places.
  • Identified a sync error in MP
  • A few messed up models (Nerei is working on those)

Version 1104 is up as the proper Playtest Beta build. We aren't building very effective changelogs for posting, sorry about that.

Off top of my head...
  • Pause at day end fixed, game speed should be pretty smooth now
  • New Battlegroup Management popup screen accessible from Command department, first panel, right side buttons, second from the bottom (tooltip is wrong)
  • Some model fixes for Nerei's stuff (some still broken)
  • Lots of small UI clean up
  • More fixed for theaters
  • Fixes for bridges (using GR bridge model for now)
  • Some orbat fixes, lots of work still to do there

From the 10 mins I just played, the end of day thing is vastly improved (and much welcomed for speeding up testing)

We've posted an update to the Playtest, version 1110. There are lots of changes in lots of areas, I don't have a proper changelog for it. Some graphics, some data, some UI, some map changes. Lots of little things all over the place.

Let us know if we broke anything :-)

It’s probably already reported, but anyway: the shattered world scenario has no cities.

Oops!

Actually it hadn't been reported yet. I see what's wrong. We deleted a line by accident in the .scenario file in /sandbox. It should have this just be for the line that defines the .OOB files;

I fixed that line and recached and it works again. That fix will go with the next update.

Version 1120 is up for Playtest Beta build. This version has some ups and downs. The following is an incomplete changelog but highlights some points of possible interest;

EDIT: v.1120 fixes the crash and the inability to build facilities.
  • Expanded Spies system as discussed on YouTube video (Cyper Attackd, Espionage could reveal info, Assassinate)
  • Some graphics clean up, some UI clean up, lots still to do
  • Populations of regions should be fixed
  • Some updated orbats, less than half done
  • AI willing to be the aggressor again
  • Theater/Battlezones improvements which allows for pathing improvements
  • Tutorial and event fixes, tutorial objectives now have a button to bring back their related help message
  • Some economy balance work has been done, more planned
  • Various 3D model fixes
  • New equipment file entries and data clean up
  • Fixed in unit actions below list, Command department
  • Missile launch authority can be adjusted for missiles in production
  • AI country management improvements, AI may avoid building units indefinitely (needs testing in case the change is too drastic vs. not significant enough)
  • Products can now be allocated per consumption source in times of shortage (starve the ppl vs. starve the military)
Known issues are
  • BattleGroup manager changes are in progress, current broken (sorry, should be back for next update)

I'll come back for v.1133 to share more details, but here's a few to start;
  • Battlegroup Manager fixes
  • Build Facilities panel moved from right side to left side
  • AI will send aircraft onto carriers. Carrier will try to create "Carrier groups" to move around the ocean.
  • Water Color setting in Options - Map
  • Search function in lobby region list and state dept region list.
  • Various graphic fixes
  • Updated 2023 leaders
  • Lots of economy updates for World 2023
  • Lots of UI fixes (might have broken the tutorials...)
  • Various orbat updates
  • Tech tree updates
  • Tech buffs added to lots of equipment, should be visible in unit popup
  • Lots of equipment file updates for year available
  • Unit Upgrades and Unit Refits (might still have some bugs, doesn't yet show refit/upgrade to what unit)
  • Naval Engineers added, can build Oceanic Complexes (Norway has one for testing)
  • Updated Kashmir border
  • Fixed Iraqi flag and a few others, ongoing work
  • Population starves to death if insufficient food
  • Renaming regions/cities updated. Can change your region's flag
  • Sound Option added to select a specific audio output device
  • More fixes to support government/support opposition (finally fixed for money from nothing?)
  • Updates to battlezone trading and peace by battlezone (still in progress)
  • Fixes to active personnel counts in Command dept tooltip
  • Lobby Options UI updated, in progress
  • Fixes to 3D models for helicopters for rotor transparency
  • New model from Nerei for HAL Prachand

do I understand correctly that the parameters of &&AIREQRESPONSE have not changed much in 2030 and you can transfer your settings from the SRU?
