A range indicator when you select a unit would be nice to have.
An example:

Re: Range Indicator
That gets messy very fast. You didn't include travel range which is sometimes the most important. There are in theory 7 ranges for each unit
- Ground attack range
- Air attack range
- Naval surface attack range
- Sub attack range
- 1st Spotting range
- 2nd Spotting range
- Travel range
Now do that with 3 different types of units selected...
- Ground attack range
- Air attack range
- Naval surface attack range
- Sub attack range
- 1st Spotting range
- 2nd Spotting range
- Travel range

There could be map filters which could be toggled on-off;Balthagor wrote: ↑May 29 2023 That gets messy very fast. You didn't include travel range which is sometimes the most important. There are in theory 7 ranges for each unit

"Show ground attack range" (only shows soft/hard attack range and spotting range)
"Show air attack range" (only show close air/mid air/high air range and spotting range)
etc.
*remember, units almost always have same range for soft/hard attack and for close air/mid air etc.
Another solution would be role based automatic filter:
For infantry tank, anti-tank, recon, artillery battalions: soft/hard attack (which are almost always the same) and spotting range
For anti-air: close air/mid air/high air (usually the same), and spotting range
For interceptors: close air/mid air/high air (usually the same), and spotting range
For tactical bombers: ground attack values and close air/mid air
For strat bombers: ground attack values
etc.
* You don't really need to see air attack values of a tank; you don't bring tank battalion to fight airplanes, right?
And these ranges could be color codded;
- Close air is dark blue, mid air is middle blue, high air is light blue etc.
etc.

Re: Range Indicator
Travel range shouldn't be included because 1) it is not a fixed value most of the time, 2) it is kinda already shown as "supply percentage" of the unit.Balthagor wrote: ↑May 29 2023 That gets messy very fast. By the way; ammuniton and fuel should have seperated icons showing their percentage. When unit have %50 supply you cannot easily see whether it is missing fuel or ammunition.
