animations?

I've seen this debated in another thread, which i can't find anymore, so i have decided to re-surface this idea. I beleive that this game could reach out to a hell of a lot more ppl if you included some animations. If you have played advance wars on GBA, you will realise that SR2010 is a lot like it, but way more sophisticated. In advance wars they had some pre-set animations eg. 5 tanks attacking 5 soldiers in a forest. What they did was quite simple and i beleive you could incorportae this idea in your game too, if time is on your side.

Animations are fine UNLESS they delay the game.

I want gameplay, not eye candy. Battlegoat are taking the right approach here.
