I don't have a picture for it, but I have a funny story.

In my game as Scotland (which i've been palying for a few days now), I've got all of the British Mainland except for the Cardiff area under my control. So I go to take Cardiff with about 200 Light Infantry Units and 60 Self-Propelled Artillery units (AS190 or something). Well, it turns out 90% of Cardiff's defenses were towed Artillery units--a whopping 200+ units of it! By the time I realized what was going on, I'd lost my entire army!

At this moment they've taken back all of wales, but the front is now stable and I'm taking out their artillery with hundred and hundreds of missiles.

It's always nice to have some recon first

That's the funniest part.. I had recon. I just never checked to see what I was up against. I assumed it'd be the usual mix of light infantry, engineers, and a little armor.

What is the best software for taking screenshots? I am running XP and haven't messed with a screenshot since I was using '98. The program I used for that had a bad habit of freezing me up. I'm fixing to invade cuba with a massive combination paradrop and amphibious assault. I have an even more massive naval bombardment and AGM assault planned to soften them up. All following cruise missile strikes to remove their army bases. After a test run destroying the bases (to see if I needed more tomahawks) I'd like to post a screenshot of the hundreds of missiles over Cuba.

thanks Red, that works. I forgot I'd have to have them on a site. My wife has one but I don't think she wants them on her pirate roleplaying website. :P

Alrighty..whew.. Finally took the British Mainland. It's cost me 700,000 lives, and almost 1,000 units!

Now look what I have to invade. :x The Green blob is my Scottish Grand Armee, a whopping 200,000 soldiers. That's 297 units! I was gonna nuke Ireland and North Ireland, and solve the problem that way, but the World Market isn't very happy with me. I think Developing nukes would piss em off a little too much. My plan is to launch enough missiles at the North Irish coast to allow me to get my army accross using my 150 or so Transport Ship units. 8)

Develop a good facility attack missile and take out their army bases and military goods plants...they won't be able to repair units worth a crap. Then your softening up assault has a greater effect.

...I just launched 1,200 missiles at their coast. All of them were blown out of the sky LONG before they hit anything. Then I sent in the infantry, just to see if it had any better effect, and lost most of them in the first minute!

Will nukes be worth it?

It all depends on wether you can get them to the target.

You might try an amphibious landing on the west coast... one can only hope they don't have the entire island 7 deep in units. :P

(make sure to capture a town for supply)

I did some recon all along the coast, there's no hex I could see that wasn't full of units. :o Worst part about the amphib landing was that the Transports get absolutely whipped by land-based guns long before they get within range. Even massing transports for the attack, most of them have to travel through the straight between Ireland and Scotland to get where they need to go, and I lose half of them along the way.

Is an ICBM really at serious risk for being intercepted? If so, that's pretty unrealistic.
