I have a question...

Are countries like Israel,Taiwan,South Korea, etc. going to be split up in the "Collapse of the World". I doubt that countries like these (all under constant threats, especially in an unstable world) would be able to survive if there were to be infighting.

No, only certain countries are split. Most of the Middle East countries are hard to split and at the moment there is no sub-battle for any of them. The "lowest" level battle for the middle east is the battle for the Middle East... That was one of our hardest issues. There is little reason to split these countries, the interest is more in seeing which ones survive. I am ~ 1/4 done the Mideast Scenario and will be stopping at the 3/4 mark (Too uncertain to finish till close to release) and I will post some screen shots once it is done. That should give a better idea. But it is interesting to note that the Isreal player will begin with territory that belongs to it, but is loyal to "another Player" not currently on the map. This represents Gaza and the West Bank. The scenario begins with 7 players but could get computer players added if a successful split occured.
