I disagree on deleting existing tech. I just want them to have some effect. Fluridate water for example should have "health care +3%" effect. Did you even read my post, sir? Well, you've started with no units settings. That was to be expected. Bigger countries later in the game will have some troops though.

But how can this be? Shouldn't speed settings not affect what actually happens in game?

Trains should definitely be faster than roads for foot infantry and artillery. Slower or same as roads for mounted anything.

Just start a new game as Lithuania and order planes around to random places in the country, they will simply fly in circles a bit and crash.
