Re: 3D modelling

Would that also involve removing the text saying "ARMEE DE L'AIR" on the vertical stabiliser and emblems marking it as an aircraft of the Île-de-France squadron? ^_- :-) Sure... All are separate layers so it is fairly easy. Just remind me again if I forget it as release is still a bit off. Thank yo...

Re: 3D modelling

Looks great! You really put some effort into this. Even the camouflage pattern is different for each of them. At some point do you think you could release a French texture without the roundels?

Re: 3D modelling

That looks wonderful! Thanks for making it! I don`t know if it`s the lighting or the extra work, but that`s possibly the most effective weathering you`ve done so far.

Re: 3D modelling

As for the other models they are not for any kind of game. It is just me deciding that to use one of my plastic figures as reference for a high detail model. It has been an on/off project since I got it in September. By plastic figure you mean an old style toy (a la Toy Story) or a scale figurine? ...

Re: 3D modelling

I will probably not be able to add much to the planned December release What is the list so far that you think will make it for this release (December or whenever it will be possible)? and as mentioned January and February is most likely going to be low output months as I will also be doing other 3...

Re: 3D modelling

Hello! I have a question - how exactly do you implement or intend to implement the different color schemes for units? Later versions of SR (from 1936 onwards I think) have the texture variations built into their engine. The different textures are automatically loaded based on their name. UNIT1860R....

Re: Modding the Default UNIT file

I also use Notepad to edit the file, but I use Excel to get a better overall picture. If the choice you mention for Open Office is what type of file to use you should choose Delimited and at the next step choose Comma. That`s how it goes in Excel at least. This should properly separate the values in...

Re: 3D modelling

Most of the detailing on the chassis is done for the CV9040. The turret naturally has basically no work done so there is still some work left and the entire vehicle needs some grime and fake shadows, lighting, AO etc. It looks great! I`ve been wanting one for such a long time that it`s gonna be qui...

Re: 3D modelling

Should be 0.09 according to my test.

Edit: the extra zero is present in the last picnums file provided here that mentions the Rafale (ID 1865), the one from July so I presume it was carried into the game too.

Re: 3D modelling

I see. Well, the good news is I`ve found scale drawings for the legacy TR-85 in a magazine. They probably won`t help much when it comes to the turret which has seen quite a transformation with those front and rear additions on the M1 variant. I`ll look around some more.

For my own understanding, apart from the mentioned profile what else would be necessary? A frontal view and a top view?

Re: 3D modelling

I cannot say that I have seen that vehicle before. It might be worth making at some point but I cannot say when I can get around to it. Given it is some way until actual service it can`t be considered a priority for a while anyway. I was rather publicly wondering about it. :-) You have to agree tha...

Re: 3D modelling

Thank you for the explanation! I was trying to asses the feasibility of a certain tank model. On a different topic and just for the sake of discussion, are you aware of the French VBMR Griffon? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VBMR_Griffon Until relatively recently I was oblivious to it, but this cash ...

Re: 3D modelling

All wheels are drawn texture objects only. As long as the shape of the track arrangement does not change changing the number and size of the wheels is fairly easy. Cool! What about adding something to a turret? For example those "Dolly Parton" armour add-ons on the turret of a T-55 and maybe a turr...
