The freezing I get is intermittent and not yet reproducible. There is no pattern as to when it happens. I've never yet had an autosave crash (saving every day). I know that when the game saves there's a slight pause but the freeze is something different. If I ever get a proveable freeze then I'll se...

PC Gamer apparently gave the original version of Superpower a 42%.

Now that demo was unplayable. SR2010 is far superior to that and can only get 34%??

Obviously written by someone who can't even spell strategy! Seems like if it's not a FPS then it's too complicated to bother about...Reviewers? Pah!

Sounds exactly like "The Day After Tomorrow" by Robert Heinlein...(also called Sixth Column).

The enemy there are called PanAsians and are a mix of Chinese/Japanese IIRC. The book suggests that numbers don't always win...

I think the devs are working on some of the issues with the WM where this thing happens and it's not always the fault of the player... I'm thinking of the domino effect where countries declare war whenever you get a common border and you never get a chance to return to a non-war situation. That can ...

FastBoy101 I agree, but I don't think that sort of detail is modelled in the game. People have called for stuff like this to be included, just as knowing what you sell to other countries would help in deciding whether to attack them or not... As far as we know, the only things to make approval rise ...

If your automating sales than it is possible you're not getting the positive money because your stock is getting undercut by the opposing countries. I've had that before... Some of the economics does seem rather convoluted and hidden. When building industries, it's hard to work out what the costs r...

For approval, low tax, lots of social spending, plenty of goods for them to buy, basically being nice to your populace. Approval going down? High taxes, high domestic prices, commodity shortages, low social spending, war Remember that if you drastically change something like a tax rate, the effect c...

You can resign from the WM...on the WM page, bottom left corner IIRC, just next to where it shows cost of being a member.

I have reported my observations and continue to have occasional freeze episodes. Most are temporary but some on bigger scenarios are solid lockups. http://www.bgforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=5413 These mainly graphical-related freezes did manifest themselves in other games and I suspect an overheating ...

No limit on units in reserve. (the reserve limit as stated in the manual was abandoned).

A limit of 7 active air units at a base. Any more and some take off to make room...then land back there. To stop this, send some units to reserve or rebase them at another airstrip/airport.

I agree with Decimatus...

Research centres might also be researching dangerous things. Not the sort of place you would want near a large population centre.
