I moded the tech tree, including some social ratings increases and costs and it worked fine.
What was the maximum percentage of increase that you used for the ratings? Cost reduction works fine but I can't get the ratings up significantly.

Okay, found this on the steam news for Supreme Ruler Ultimate:

Changes in Patch 9.0.42 included:
-Diminishing returns from significant tech effect boosts to social ratings

So smaller boost should work. ???

I tried this in SRCW and it used to work instantly in game. For example if I set the health rating to increase by 90% after researching a certain tech, then it would do that. However, in SRU I can't increase it. I've tried values of 1 (100%), 0.5(50%), etc. The ratings only increase with the amount ...

We have said many times that once the treasury/economy gets too big, some rounding errors can create strange values. There are shortcuts in place that are needed to get the level of performance we have. Removing those shortcuts would increase economic precision and slow down the game. It's all abou...

did not use excel for editing the unit file, but you may check if it looks like this screenshot after import. This was simply opened with "SoftmakerOffice 2018": with options: Codepage 1252(default - UTF-8 may work too), Fields separated by Comma, and NO automatic text recognition i guess this make...
