I mean if i start a new game now, can i rely on the AI to research everything or will it eventually bog down again with antiquated stuff?

Well.. this thread explains quite a bit. I too was surprised to see the weather system still 'functioning' after having turned it 'off'. It seems all the toggle does is turn off the effects, but not the calculations. Clearly the weather map is still being calculated and generated even in 'off' mode....

Thanks for pointing out that file.

While 80000 lines seems daunting ... essentially it boils down to roughly 250 copy&paste tasks :D


Can't say i understand all that's going on in that file - like.. why are countries like united kingdom or US listed twice, once with techs and once without?

maybe it's adding research into it, which is in fact 0 because of deficit, but for some reason gets added to the bottom number ?

Can we get some detailed explanations of the calculations? Like what happens when a unit with 20 attack value attacks a unit with 20 defense value. Like in HOI, having a defensive point available vs an attacking point, the chance to get hit is 50% instead of 80% (was long time ago, probably changed)...

Considering what bunker installations cost, i doubt flaktowers would be very cost-effective.

Building regular AA units and just placing them around the country would probably be cheaper in every regard - from building costs to manpower cost.

Nice to see it noted :) Also I would like to see locks on each individual tax and social service, just like each product can be locked. I think we've been asking for explanations and tooltips from BG (not other players) since the beginning of recorded history (of these forums ;-)). I'll believe it ...
