Re: Help me defend my country from the Chinese!

Given your circumstances and relative army strength and production capabilities, I would say that most feasible way to handle this would be to play defensively, pick some good chokepoint and fortify the hell out of it. Trenches are your friend, take 3 days to build and give quite a few defensive bon...

Re: The Future of Supreme Ruler Development / SR Next Generation

What I would really like to see is the AI having better "staying power", so to speak, once it conquers a few neighbors: Right now, the AI conquering anything means it's nearly inevitably going to spiral down into economic doom. It simply doesn't seem to be able to handle the damaged facilities and t...

Re: Ask the devs thread

Given that the relative timeline of the game would likely need to last longer than previous Supreme Ruler games, how do you plan to handle the current inability of the AI to handle keeping their economy afloat, specially if they managed to successful conquer more territory than a little bit. Or rath...

Re: Unit Errata

Ok, went to check out the files to confirm some short ranged nuclear ships and submarines, plus one other I found while looking at it: DD-151 Asagiri destroyer for some reason uses 24kgs of Uranium in its construction, which makes little sense. I suppose it could represent radioactive elements in it...

Re: Map Errata

Speaking of terrain, Kyushu and Honshu are done as if they were contiguous landmasses without passages between them in the modern maps. In the WW2 maps, the hex with Shimonoseki is done as a wide river, allowing ship passage, but in the '49 cold war start or any of the post 2000 starts it is all lan...

Start a new game or wait for next patch?

Got back in the mood for Supreme Ruler, but given the amount of time a campaign can take, before starting it I'd like to ask: Is the next patch coming relatively soon and thus worth waiting for it? Or can I just go ahead and start playing without too many worries?

Nope. I keep my ministers off any kind of building.

Changing diplomatic merchant marine option mid game?

Is it possible to change to allowing the sold units to teleport to the country they were sold to in a game that was already started? I know it's possible to change a few of the game settings in the ctrl+shift+s cheat menu, but this is not one of them and I was wondering if there was some cheat comma...

Colonies are trying to build military facilities on their own

On my current game as Brazil I've suddenly noticed that I had more military fabrication facilities than I remembered having. Went to track them over, and alas, Argentina, who I had made into a colony had tried to make a bunch of fabrication facilities into empty ground, which in turn created a milit...

Re: Unit Errata

Israeli TN-105 185mm Towed Artillery (tech level 111, unit number 4382) has an error in the time to build by two degrees of magnitude, taking 2250 days to build (125.000 instead of 1.250). Indian MCA-04 Aavishkaar interceptor (tech level 120, unit number 9272) probably has a wrong tech requirement t...

Northern part of the Georgia Republic in the Global Crisis map: There seems to be a Sea Pier there that not only leads to nowhere but also serves as a magnet to units trying to transport through the sea, leading to dozen and dozens of units getting stuck there as the years go by. Also, on a similar ...

World Market Prices for Commodities Too Sticky and Countries Selling Below Production Costs

Not a new problem but one that's particularly problematic for the game's global economy: The commodities prices change too little and too slow. Even at poor market availability and an offer to sell at a higher price, and with countries with major unmet demands, the prices tend to not grow fast enoug...

Re: Modern world economy

Not sure if this is a problem, but whatever country i start as in the modern world i always have a massive surplus of petrol, this causes the cost of petrol to plummet, surely this needs to be looked at.. It's intentional from what I understand, meant to allow wars to be fought, specially in the ea...

Re: Modern world economy

Adding to this: the prices seem to demonstrate rigidity even when not in good supply. In my current game you have both petrol and military goods in poor availability, with me being the major exporter of either, but nonetheless the prices do not change even if I refuse to sell at current price.

Re: New Feature - Return Land / Liberate

Speaking of returning land: Colonies: Sometimes the player do not want to keep the military installations around their colonies' lands. Nonetheless, because of the different severe actions window, it's nonetheless impossible to return said lands even if you scrap the military installations in questi...
