While I'm sure it can't be changed now... just food for thought... Couldn't hexes just be scanned, then if a unit is detected in the hex, then scan further?

This is probably going to sound stupid... but why can't hexes just be used to place buildings, and gather forces? For example, if I have a tank, an arty, an infantry vs an enemy of the same... why can't the game just make the units points on the map rather than hexes on a map? That way they move wit...

Australia's Air Defence

Australia's air defence composes only of the RBS-70, and the Rapier missile batteries. Rapier's look very much like the hawk graphic wise, and the RBS-70 can pretty much be represented by the stinger (the rbs70 is a sit-in tube launched missile which is hand guided visually so would also have about ...

From my reading / viewing regarding past wars such as WWI and WWII and today's warfare, its a different kind of war that is waged... Today's warfare demands that very low casualty rates are taken and that force multiplication etc is very important. On the other hand, if say, China becomes a greedy w...

Perhaps BG can concentrate on making things work for single player, and make it realistic first... Then if time remains then an option can be selected for multiplayer games reducing build time/research time. Can always be added after release too... I just thought it would be more important getting g...

Just wondering, I was being cheap reading books in the bookstore today without buying them... and came across stuff like planes using scramjets, and the application scramjet engines might have in missiles. Eg, as scramjets are so fast, missiles may be 'kinetic' rather than explosive... their high sp...

As Sierra in Mexico, I've gone for heavy agriculture. Ive got say 5 or 6 agri centres (wild guess) and am spending a good 25 billion a year for efficiency. Q is- If I decide to build another 10 or so agri centres, will efficiency take a hit due to the size of my agri industry? Is there an 'optimum' ...

A bit off topic, but related... I've noticed that certain map points have much higher defensive values than others, but aren't obviously so just from looking at the map. Are filters going to be available similar to the high ground filter? Or can we 'paint' or own 'high value' defensive spots onto th...

Noted re the economic stuff, thanks... But I'm still not able to control the 'target military size'. It goes up no matter what I do. I tested on Mexico last night, leaving it at 400000, but its up at 1.3 mil now. I'll test soon to see if having the target size above the current size at least speeds ...

I was just playing with airborne... had 2 batts of airborne on an airport, with 1 AV400M Airlifter there with them. I tried to transport both divisions in the same aircraft fleet, but it only takes one... Theoretically I should be able to fit 4 (105 ton a piece each airborne, 444 tons per Airlifter)...

After playing the Paris attacks scenario, and a few random games in Australia I've had a bit of trouble finding where all the shooting is coming from (esp artillery fire). Whilst I do usually find it, the front is obviously very crowded in the middle of a big fight... Is there any improvement coming...

Why not make Switzerland the HQ of the WM? The Swiss are still neutral but the WM HQ is geographically located there because of the neutrality of Switzerland... U could have Switzerland as an unattackable country, just like in real life  And WM units stationed there... Would be one way...

George, or someone else... can you tell me if unit stats will be visually changed on equipment lists when stuff like EPIRBB or VLAP or whatever its called is researched? I was about to post a bug about my M109L's firing one hex too far (78ks) as they should only shoot 53 according to stats. I have r...

I agree... Production is usually so monolithic compared to all the other expenses that you may as well just delete some small one like sales tax... I would rather see a nice big uncluttered FULL SCREEN income / expense display... u guys seem pretty adverse to that for some reason? We're not playing ...
