Any thoughts on the fact SR:TGW alt tabs fine, SRU locks up? One would think it has to be something in SRU which is not present in TGW and that may help narrow it down? There was some tweaking made to the AI surrender code in V248 that could cause an accidental surrender in save games started in earlier versions.

I'll take a look to see if I can easily hotfix this for old savegames.

What is the maximum number of systems the engine supports? The technical engine maximum is over 200 systems and about 5000 planets. Though we haven't tested the engine against the maximum specs yet.
