Oh! Ok. That's what I was trying to do. Thought I could, from page 24: "The minister portrait itself contains a changing background color, that will vary depending on the minister’s concern for the condition of his or her department. Furthermore, you can click on the minister’s picture to access...

Cabinet Ministers

From reading through all of the fourms, I may be the only one with this problem. Cannot change my cabinet ministers! Click on the portrait, doesn't do anything in the way of being able to change him/her, see other ministers, etc. Know in 2010 I could bring up all of the choices, seems here I get no ...

In comparison to other games, should we have stopped doing updates long ago or are we right on the mark with still releasing updates. Even though I don't post much, I am here a lot , and generally not even logged in. Also, I was one of the guys that waited 4 or 5 years on this game. Was watching it...

All of the savegames are the correct size. Actually, I was going to "Single player", "Load" (like I have all the other ones). However, your method will load the White Sands saves! Thanks! Do you know why the difference?

I was starting with the single player 'Scenarios' button and trying to load---just crashes.
Ideas?

Right now, we still use relatively 'symbolic' icons to represent upgrades (factories, mines, etc). We went from simple icon symbols to 3D objects recently. For instance, our current oil field upgrade is: We have, on purpose, made the objects somewhat basic and brightly coloured, to be easy to see o...

That's ok. Was just re-enforcing replayability and mostly the importance of having loads of options  Night's not that important.

<-----Single player.
1) Still have dial-up connection.
2) Don't even think I'd play MP if I had DSL.

Everything being optional is a great idea! Agree with having tons of options. One of the things that make games even more replayable is the ability to alter the same basic setup. All the same scenario: Play it "bland", Weather cranked up, Disasters cranked up, Both. Night effects on or off, etc. Thi...

This is a good alternative. Great thought.

Agree with the two above. Sadistic=Realistic when it comes to transports  Plus, it works both ways. I'm sure the enemies will froth at the prospect of strafing/bombing/cannon-ing/battleship-ing (just make 'em up as I go ) my convoy or even single xport, hoping for maximum sinkage. Just...

Definitely have seperate transport vessels. Cleaner than 'points' systems. It's not that difficult to keep track of even whole fleets. Of course you'll want to (have the ability to) protect them as well. I prefer the micro-management...down to the ship level.

I lean more toward the "Panzer General Series, Civ or Alpha Centauri, etc" Lots of times, I want the more 'relaxing' part of turn-based rather than the frantic rts of an EE or AoE.
