Re: Asset Manager missing "spotting types" - causes crash

yeah steam definitely does not want to give me said file. I posted in an earlier thread months back about how I can't actually even use the scenario editor if I try to open it from the select-a-tool page when you open Supreme Ruler Content Editor in Steam Tools (But it works if I use the older versi...

Re: Asset Manager missing "spotting types" - causes crash

This is my functional DEFAULT.UNIT file, though I do mod many units in many ways, it is otherwise a functional non-crashing version: https://mega.nz/#!PbI3EaAD!4sZTh1Gp6FWgvmrZty_VnoOtuQLTIO8POd4ljmnonl4 If I right click the row I want to edit and ask it to edit selected items, it will note it hasn'...

Asset Manager missing "spotting types" - causes crash

Hey, So anytime I try editing units, the asset manager likes to warn me it can't find the "spotting types" table in the data profiles folder, but it has never affected me until now. I attempted to edit some spotting types in the asset manager regardless and this causes a guaranteed crash of the asse...

Re: How do you stop any trading of Industrial Goods ?

Is your slider set to sell a certain amount of surplus production? That overrides auto-selling iirc.

How to edit the standard world maps for each start?

Hey folks, So I do a lot of tinkering around with things like what each nation has in its unit designs and I'd like to adjust some resources (In this case, giving the UK their uranium deposits on earlier starts since the UK had uranium mining even before the 20th century, but in the game we only hav...

Japan in Cold-War Start is missing ports

As the title suggests, Japan is missing a port on one of their home islands in the cold-war start, and if they get attacked (As they often do, especially by the soviet union), they will likely build a military on the island that they then can never use, and it only serves to clog up the game. As suc...

Re: Possible to bankrupt countries?

Well sure it's not bad for world conquest etc, but these countries also can never properly develop without you micro-managing them, you can't see exactly how much goods they do produce, even if they produce an excess they will give it to you instead of profiting at all (And you can't ask them not to...

Re: Some British Ships unavailable to England in Shattered World Start

True but the game's authenticity of data is often also mixed into balance of game mechanics itself. Take the Type 26 for example, which has 200km radar in real life. In the game? that would basically make it the greatest patrol-type ship in the game for spotting purposes, and thus it doesn't have it...

Re: Some British Ships unavailable to England in Shattered World Start

Yeah I mean it was first ordered in 2015 after demonstrations so it really should be a 2014+ navy tech. That said, the Queen Elizabeth Carrier for Britain also has no requirements relating to carrier techs (though it does require two techs), it doesn't even want super carriers or modern super carrie...

Re: Some British Ships unavailable to England in Shattered World Start

The British Type 26 destroyer has SR5ID 19697 I've definitely had this ship as the UK in the more normal modern starts (e.g. Trump Rising 2017/ 2018), and can definitely get this as Scotland in SW2020, but not as England. The Donnini Class Escort Ship has SR5ID 17440, I can get that as Scotland but ...

Some British Ships unavailable to England in Shattered World Start

Hey folks, I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but I cannot get the Type 26 destroyer patrol ship to appear for England in the Shattered World 2020 start. They have its only prerequisite tech of Naval production '94, and I can't see any unit prerequisite in the files. The odd thing is that Sc...

Re: Land Production Facilities

Yeah I do wish there was a big queue and that individual queues were the override instead. Especially because the game lags pretty hard if you have too many production slots (Trying to order more tanks with 42 land production as Britain in 1942 is not fun, nor is it higher than 3FPS). My biggest gri...

Re: A little big problem in Africa

Sudan didn't leave the British Empire until the 80s around the time of the Falklands war iirc. Also yeah this game does often get history a little skewed due to just how it has to work with the old game itself, e.g. Britain never went to Vietnam, but British AI assumes it needs to play Fortunate Son...

Re: Soviet Union loses Sphere victory in 1936 start if it sides with allies

This is a save just before the final home island of Japan is taken. Get the troops to take that, they surrender and the sphere collapses and that is where I had the popup saying I had lost. The file is just the last autosave I had before it happened: https://mega.nz/#!HXpEyayB!D5B7P2YlSbPMomgXVAESXr...

Soviet Union loses Sphere victory in 1936 start if it sides with allies

If you play the USSR in the ww2 starts (Any of them, just not a cold-war start), then of course you are expected to align to allies due to the fact germany will declare war on you and you will snap to allies-aligned as soon as that happens unless you went out of your way to change that. I just had a...
