Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to mod the game to somehow force all regions to keep all their units in reserve, unless they're fighting a war? the problem is, windows cache is initiated as soon as windows starts up. you can only change where it will be located after the next boot, and ramdisk can only be started after everything starts up. (so ramdisk drive will not exist when the windows is starting).

any ideas to overcome this issue?

windows uses a cache file on the hdd even if you have hundreds of gigs of ram. maybe configuring 2 ramdisks (one for windows cache, the other for SR2020 installation) could force the game to run entirely on ram. the problem is, i'm not sure that the windows cache could be moved to ram without any pr...

just tested - you're definitely correct.

for everyone who might have experienced this issue:
i was able to reduce the maint. costs from over 1000m$ back to about 150m$ by scrapping all the missiles..
