IRL the arab strategy is the leave the Palestineans inside Israel's territory to provide a ready supply of partisan and insurgency attacks. Of course they won't bargain to reclaim their country. They know exactly what they're doing. Now they can claim Israel occupation and play the underdog card. Th...

thanks. thought so, but I thought I'd check if anyone could see a use for them. They're expensive to maintain and brought a pretty penny ~$1.2B when sold.

MiddleEast Scenario: what's the Iranian Caspian fleet for?

Is there any utility in maintaining the Iranian Caspian fleet? I've played the middle east scenario as Israel and worked my way east, taking on Syria, Iraq and finally Iran. When Iran fell, I was left with a sizable Caspian Sea fleet. Couple of carriers, several frigates, etc. Since the scenario has...

We don't track repair vehicules since they do not generally work in battalion sizes IIRC, but we do already allow units to repair in the field. They will repair as long as their are in supplied territory, the better the supply, the faster they repair. The repair rate reserved in a base is however m...

diplomacy trade bug

I found a bug in the diplomacy system. I'm playing South Africa (still) and have several on-going trades with foreign countries. I offer them a bit of timber, and they repay in $ (actually rands, but who's counting?). I realized that the ongoing trade might be affecting their ability to gain reason ...

Can I use update 3 on previously saved games? What if those games have AI economies that have gone ballistic, i.e. developed all techs upto 150, and listed as $,000,000 M in the regional atlas? I'm still slogging thru Africa as the evil (but fun loving) dictator from South Africa. Cameroon's economy...

screen dump support

How about a scripting popup so that movies can be saved of region? The popup screen could specify a hex to center the image on, a zoom setting, a frequency of saves setting, and a directory path. Radio buttons for yearly, monthly, daily, or hourly would be cool. Either the entire movie is saved as a...

spelling error

small spelling error in the Africa map... The military base next to the city Harare in the Namibian Federation (Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe) is misspelled as "HAHARE". It probably should be "Harare". I know there's more important things to fix than spelling. But this also has got to be one ...

I agree that the described split and merge "works" to allow transporting larger units. But the remembered "maxiumum" unit strength is still the original default unit strength. I'm guessing that this means that casualties won't be replaced in the unit until it drops from the overstrength value back b...

Thanks for this description of merging units. It almost works... Merge units should be the inverse of the split unit command. i.e. take two less than maxium strength units and combine their strengths to regain the units that was split. However, it's not exactly providing that function. By clicking o...

Given the ongoing cost and effort required to keep a space station operational, it is not unrealistic to assume that in a time of world chaos it would be abandoned. (Hey, they're having enough trouble keeping it going and supplied as it is!) Hehe... you don't think we're living in a time of chaos r...

tech tree pdf bug?

the technology tree pdf shows "Guided Missles" as requiring "Chemical Weapons Production" and being a prerequisite for "Chemical Missle Warheads". Shouldn't that tech be down a couple of lines between "Basic Missles" and "Cruise Missle Production"?

The "To" and "CC" are very useful in multiplayer. Can't do away with them. We also went for a look that would be very familiar to any user, that was a design decision. Well... for someone playing at maximum screensize, the wasted screen space is frustrating. If the popup windows were resizable and ...
