Farewell

This will be my last post to this forum for a long time - I will be moving off the grid, and don't expect to have a link anytime soon. It's been fun, and I hope you all enjoy the coming SR2020. I will miss being able to write 'Il Duce's Guide to SR2020 Diplomacy.' Maybe one of you can do it.

The primary motivation for client states would be to isolate the two economies - no reason to unbalance a region just because of supply issues in a capitulating territory. The intent is to compartmentalize - as opposed to rescaling your economy and population. Basically it means that once appropriat...

Some of this speaks to 'client state' governing infrastructures. A captured region might be allowed to keep a separate government, for any number of reasons, language being a big one, a la vichy france. If you did that, you might then be able to issue a general directive to the client state leader a...

At the very least, perhaps adding a classifier - even if just a literal label, on the variety of units we saw in 2010, would probably help a lot of us less familar with the fine distinctions between unit types.

I think the OP is a pretty good set of classifiers.

As many of you know I am an advocate of using a name convention to organize forces in 2010. One specific benefit of this is that as experience accumulates, it is concentrated in specific brigades and divisions, not dispersed as you get when randomly/opportunistically assigning battalions to engageme...

If you give the Minister "initiative, he will redeploy troops to every bridge and hamlet every time. So really, the only way to stop that is to shut initiative off and manage your units personally. Pragmatically I have to second this idea. First thing I do is turn of all defense and ops inititiativ...

I've reflected upon it, and I think Il Duce was simply more interested in size, not actually seeing them in Bras. So in reply, I would have to say this: BIG!! [/size] I think you finally figured it out. Personally, I only care if they're smart, but most of the target market for this product have an...

I am inclined to agree that adjustments to taxes - and possibly to other interior aspects - should have a certain latency. This is not so much to mimic a specific country's reality more closely, but to reflect the fact that even by decree, revenue inflow from a new tax would take some time to develo...

George Geczy wrote:"Supreme Gun-Toting Bimbo Racers!"
And here on the forum we could argue about Bimbo dipolmacy, the equipment specs of the racers, what sort of advantage the Russian Bimbos would get, and so on.

Forget all that - let's discuss bra sizes. [Sorry - my inner chauvinist gets loose every now and then.]

It was me - a long time ago, and I would still like to tag a hex with a note, for any number of reasons, including to mark previous boundaries, to keep track of supply reach, loyalty reach and such, as well as the reasons identified above. It would also be useful to help i...

quoting "Correct me if I am wrong, at the moment in SR2010, if we take our unit and try to put them across a non-transit treaty nation border, it will just stop right at the border."

If you have stealth enabled they will cross.
