since area attacks damage all the units in a stack, this would counter-balance even a high unit stack..
not to mention:
one nuke to rule them all
Yeah. I figured the way the combat mechanic work more or less depend on small stack sizes.

Re: Missed Product Transfer

I haven't actually tried to do deals that a computer controlled country couldn't possible meet. In this case, I believe it is something like 5,000 rubber (maybe only 1500) per day for 90 days. Netherlands itself produces zilch but the colonies produce quite a bit I believe; plenty relative to the de...

Missed Product Transfer

Germany 1936 Campaign. Year is Feb 1938. I have 90-day trade deals to build up petrol, food, wood from many different countries and rubber from a few. I have 90day deals for rubber, wood and petro with Netherlands and her empire. She is missing her rubber shipments. Other than prolonging how long sh...

Re: few ideas

#3 - you can liberate a dead region if you own their territory. In SRU, or only SRGW? Might have to go ahead and buy that . . . it is effectively a DLC install eh, not like a whole new directory / new .exe install? Meaning: I get to keep all the existing scenarios/campaigns/functionalities of SRU b...

Re: Campaign Events for the 1936 Campaign(s)

Here is a link to a .7z folder with two saves inside. One is from an Autosave (with periodicity set to 1 per day) on 1936-04-16 _before_ USSR DoWs against Estonia, the other is after the DoW (I had it on max speed, and when I heard the alert about war paused it and saved it) but the exact same date....

Re: possible problem with SRGW map

not the ideal solution but, once I hit about the 1950s in game I just save the game, move it to the multiplayer folder, and go in to all the other nations and build roads for them. Heh, this reminds me of young man memories. I got introduced to "strategy and tactics" games by my history instructor,...

Maybe if you flipped your avatar so that the eyes looked left and the cigarette went right, then it would be better. :P -- George. http://www.ziher.hr/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/istaknuta.jpg What a great idea!!! lol :P Posts like this make me wish this board had a +Like back-patting functionality :P

Re: Game Breakers? An Analysis of DEFCON and Land Unit Turn Times

I wonder if there is anyway in the files that are external to the .exe to tweak the stacking limits so that something like "100" units was the limit? I wonder what effect that would have on gameplay? Obviously it would gunk up the UI pretty badly given it is not designed to deal with that many rows ...

Re: Campaign Events for the 1936 Campaign(s)

Okay thanks Balth. I will go back and grab a save for you because the regularity with which war ensues between USSR and the Baltics is pretty much 99% and it is always well prior to 1939. I may even HAVE such a save handy. I certainly have quite a few with games already "setup" and an early enough d...

The fact the post text is now on the LEFT side and the avatar info is on the RIGHT is intentional and not simply a hallucination/Russian hacking side-effect on my end of the Internet, right? :P

First time I have ever seen a board formatted that way. Kinda like it . . .

Re: Repaying debt

SRU with the GW DLC Hmm, well I wonder how that relates to SRU? I guess I should fire up some later game scenarios/campaigns and see whether bonds are enabled in later dates. So if I understand you correctly, you are saying: 1914 scenarios (both sandbox "scenarios" and the campaign??) have NO BONDS...

Re: Repaying debt

it is possible to play with bonds in the newgame - scenario settings there is an option "Initial Funds" change "No New Bonds" to ie. "Default" and you can spend your deficits the whole time ! In game directly at the Finance minister/cabinet subwindow there you can see an icon with a green $ and iss...

Re: Game Breakers? An Analysis of DEFCON and Land Unit Turn Times

you could easily mod those battalion strength levels to division numbers. Then we finally have Supreme Ruler HD. (High Density) Yes I thought of that. Which then made me wonder . . . WHY does the game present "units" in the way in which it does? I think it is abundantly clear that aspiring to as mu...
