in this case you can only rename the unit when it is deployed.

If they offer you 5M it's because that's all it's wort to them and would be the same issue if delivered undamanged/using merchant marine. The trade price is established before the unit has half it's Military Goods removed. Yes, it's working as designed. thank you ... this is what I wanted to hear.

maybe I wrong, but if I built a unit and spend 10M$ and 300t MG. When I sell that unit, the other country offer me 5M+ 150t MG in $.
so..my question is..why I must sell my unit at discount??

Unfortunately not really. They also can't build up units themselves because any military facility they try to build would be transferred to your control. [...] that is not really right... all military facilities before colonization were transferred. later the colony built others military facilities...

The reason I ask; In my play through of GW, when a parent falls the colony carries on, yet they retain the title "colony". I was not sure if that is intended. They cannot be a colony if the parent no longer exits, I would think.
